Open Day in our school

On 22th March we had an open day in our school.  In each room there was different and interesting things to see .For example in the biology and chemistry room students made a lot of experiments which were breathtaking. In the English rooms you could go and play some kind of games in English or make exercises. But the most interesting room was that in which my classmates from the IB program and I were. We made postcards, using really interesting technology. We cut a potato and then using a knife made some kind of form on it (I made a butterfly) and then we colored it with paint. And in the end it turned out to be like a stamp. We made some really beautiful postcards and the most important is that I had a lot of fun while doing this. It was really difficult to scrape the potato, but the results were amazing. I am sure that the visitors of our school liked this a lot.

Concert

On 14th of March my classmates and I went to a concert. The concert was made by presenters of every school in our town and the nearest villages. Each school has to make something in the period of 15 minutes. I was amazed that there were a lot of people in the hall, but maybe the bigger part were the parents of the kids, who were participating in the concert. I really liked this concert, because there weren’t only teenagers performing, but also kids from the kindergartens (they were so cute). There were a lot of very talented kids, who were singing, dancing or making sketches. From my school there was a girl who singed very well, and of course our most talented dancer was performing too. I really enjoyed this concert because I actually was able to relax for a while from the huge amounts of homework which we had to do.

Ladies room

Today we went to a theatre play, called “Ladies Room”. It was about 4 friends talking about their desires, worries and about life right before New Year’s Day.  One of the actors, who was playing a gay opera singer was one of the most famous Bulgarian singers – Doni. I was really amazed that he can play that good. The play was full of laugh , but it turned out that the end would be dramatic. I usually never cry on theatre plays, but this one touched me very strongly and I cried a lot. I really enjoyed this play and I’m looking forward for the next one, which will be on 15th May.

1st of March - Baba Marta

1ST Of March is a traditional Bulgarian holiday, which is called Baba Marta. On this day people give martenitsi to their friends, siblings and parents or to whom they want. Martenitsa is usually in the form of wrist, combining red and white colored treads. It must be worn until you see a stork or a bloomed tree.

To celebrate this holiday my classmates and I welcomed every person to your school with a martenitsa. It was good to see that everyone smile when you put the wrist on his hand, especially the teachers.  We wished to everybody good luck, health and good life. This event made me to feel happy through the whole day. I received a lot of martenitsi from my friends and now I don’t have any free space on my both hands : ) The martenitsa is symbolizing health and long life. So I wish to everyone of you to be health and to have a really good life. =) The pictures bellow shows the traditional Bulgarian martenitscas
